Introduction

Elizabeth and Martin Deadman welcome you to The Maples, our family home.

We are situated in the Hampshire village of Hythe.  Hythe is known as “where the forest meets the sea” as Hythe is ideally located on the edge of the New Forest National Park yet just across the Southampton Water to Southampton.

The Maples is a seven bedroom guesthouse: single, double, triple and family rooms, four of the double/family rooms have en-suite facilities.  The remaining three bedrooms have a sink in the room and close access to a shower room and a separate toilet.  All bedrooms are on the first floor.  The house is over a hundred years old whilst we aim to meet the needs of all our guests there are some period features of the house which might make access difficult for people with limited mobility.

The Maples is a great base for exploring the surrounding area of outstanding natural beauty and there are plenty of things to see and do for all ages. A few ideas are listed in The Area, and also on our Workshop page we have links to some interesting workshops in the area.

If you’re new to the area, we would be delighted to point you in the right direction and provide local information and suggestions during your stay.

We look forward to welcoming you to The Maples in the near future.  If you have any queries or require assistance please either:
